Before your guests arrive at the ceremony, see the tables set, or experience the celebration in person, they receive the invitation. It is their first glimpse of the setting, atmosphere, colors, and meaningful details that will shape the day.
For a custom suite, every part is created specifically for your wedding. Original artwork, typography, paper, print methods, and finishing details come together as one visual story, giving guests a beautiful introduction to what you’re planning and creating a design direction that can continue into the wedding day.
We begin with what is already taking shape: the setting you chose, the atmosphere you want to create, the colors you keep returning to, and the details that feel personal to the two of you.
From there, I develop an original visual story for the invitation suite, considering how the artwork, typography, paper, print methods, and finishing details work together. You’ll work directly with me throughout, with personal guidance through each creative decision as the suite takes shape.
“I couldn’t say enough good things about Lively House and Home Calligraphy. Lauren is literally a godsend, and made my wedding invitations and all of my day of stationery … something that stood out. I interviewed over 25 vendors and Lauren was the most accommodating, most understanding, and most flexible. We framed our wedding invites, they were truly a dream come true.”
You’ll see the work come together through thoughtfully prepared proofs. We’ll refine the wording, layout, artwork, color, paper, and finishing details until every piece feels complete.
We’ll begin with how you want the wedding to feel, then shape the color, artwork, typography, paper, and print details around it. From there, I’ll create a visual direction that feels distinctly yours and can continue from the invitation into the wedding day.
Share the date, setting, guest count, the pieces you’re considering, and the colors, places, or details already inspiring you. We’ll talk about how you want the wedding to feel, along with timing and investment, before I prepare a proposal for the project.
Once everything feels right, the designs move into production using the papers, print methods, and finishing details chosen for the project. I work closely with trusted printers and skilled craftspeople throughout production, then prepare each piece for delivery to you or your wedding team.
A custom save-the-date gives guests their first glimpse of the look and feeling of your wedding. It may begin with the setting, a meaningful illustration, a color direction, or one detail that will return later throughout the celebration.
The design gives guests a sense of what’s ahead while leaving room for the visual story to grow through the invitation suite and into the wedding day.
The setting, atmosphere, colors, and meaningful details come together across the invitation, accompanying pieces, envelopes, and finishing details.
Original artwork, typography, the finest papers and materials, and exceptional print methods work together as one complete suite. The guest experience begins when the envelope arrives and continues through every layer they open.
Programs welcome guests to the ceremony. Seating displays guide them into the reception. Menus, place cards, signage, and table details bring the color, artwork, typography, and paper into the spaces they experience in person.
These pieces can continue the invitation design or take a new direction for the wedding day, creating a guest experience that feels connected from the first welcome to the final place setting.
