Gold Leaf Wedding Invitations with Calligraphy and Textured Paper

Hand-applied gold leaf brought an irregular, luminous detail to this wedding invitation design. Warm white felt cardstock and expressive calligraphy balanced the metallic finish.

Texture as the foundation

The warm white felt stock added a tactile background for the gold leaf. With the materials doing much of the visual work, the design could remain restrained.

Calligraphy across the suite

Lively House’s Drake script appeared as spot calligraphy on the invitation, details card, and menu. Repeating that lettering connected the pieces without requiring an identical layout.

A layered place card

The place card used an acrylic octagon with gold foil on the back and black calligraphy on the front. The clear material and layered finish gave the name its own presence at the table.

A final detail inside the envelope

The liner also received hand-applied gold foil. The envelope opening became another moment in the design, extending the metallic detail beyond the main card.
